Background
We collaborated with Spotify and Budweiser to transform Diecast Manchester – a former metalwork fabricator – into an industrial themed event space. The brief was to preserve the venue’s raw aesthetic while enhancing it with bold branding and immersive production.
The goal was to create a space that celebrated the venue’s heritage while delivering a dynamic, branded experience for guests. Both Spotify and Budweiser wanted the activation to feel authentic to the location’s industrial roots yet unmistakably modern, creative, and high impact.
We were tasked with blending functionality and storytelling through large scale design features, ambient lighting, and bespoke build elements – ensuring every corner of the space reflected both brands’ distinct personalities.
Transforming an old fabrication site into an immersive event environment required balancing authenticity with practicality. The venue’s industrial aesthetic had to remain intact while integrating complex lighting, staging, and branded installations that wouldn’t disrupt its character.
Dynamic centrepiece
Key features included an 11-meter-wide backlit “hero wall” that seamlessly blended the industrial vibe with striking branding, along with a custom-built shipping container bar and food area, serving as a functional and dynamic centrepiece.
Brought to life
Through full-service design and production, we delivered an experience that seamlessly merged history and innovation. The activation captured the essence of both Spotify and Budweiser, transforming Diecast Manchester into a bold, unforgettable setting that celebrated creativity, heritage, and collaboration.
