Yorkshire Tea TV Commercial
Background
Chief Productions hired us as to provide Art Department and Production Design on the Yorkshire Tea commercial with Sir Patrick Stewart.
The commercial was to be filmed in an empty office location, we were responsible for providing full props and set build for this location.
An iconic
Yorkshire brand
The brief
The purpose of the commercial was to promote the iconic Yorkshire Tea brand. The use of a very famous Yorkshire actor and national treasure, Sir Patrick Stewart, hailed back to the Yorkshire roots of the product.
The client wanted to portray the Yorkshire Tea replica cosy, homely office to the viewer. Visiting Yorkshire Tea headquarters enabled us to get a great understanding of what the brand was about and how the set needed to look.
The challenge
The challenge was to create a replica, “lived in” office and, working closely with the Yorkshire Tea brand team and the Director, we nailed this. We added in props that created a fun, humorous set, an example being the dimmer light switch which is used to change the lighting, mood, and feel in one of the scenes.

Our impact
We provided a full office fit out based on Yorkshire Tea’s real head offices in Harrogate. We went to see Yorkshire Tea’s head offices to get inspiration and worked closely with the Director to make his vision come to life.
We provided all of the props and some bespoke set design pieces, such as a replica Yorkshire Tea entrance sign. We considered every detail, even down to the tiny stapler with one of the character’s name tipexed onto it.

Results
This was a fantastic project and client for us, the commercial has been shown on all major TV channels in the UK. It is amazing to see Sir Patrick Stewart acting on our set!

I had a brilliant experience shooting with Anna and the Bazaar team on a Yorkshire Tea commercial this year. Their attention to detail and professional approach was outstanding. The final commercial was a huge success, and that was largely down to Anna’s set and design.
